HEY THERE, I’m chantal boyer!

TL;DR I am here to share knowledge and help you create harmony within your body, mind, and spirit.

I'm a first generation Asian American, SF Bay Area native, sunset chaser, and adopted dog mom residing on unceded Chochenyo and Ohlone land, modern-day Oakland, CA. I’m a lifelong student driven to share knowledge to remind people of their inherent wisdom through interactive workshops, one on one health consultations, Yoga Nidra sessions, and hands-on cooking classes. My approach blends science-based facts with ancient traditions in easy digestible language. I advocate for finding balance with local whole foods in today’s modernized food system. My mission is to empower people to make conscious choices to feel happy, vibrant, and alive.

My journey to Ayurveda began with earning a B.S. in Nutrition, with a Food Science Minor from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Upon graduating, I began working in the food industry for 10 years doing Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Sensory Analysis, Regulatory/Compliance, and a bit of R&D. My love for teaching began while working as a Nutrition Educator for Fresh Approach, a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit promoting healthy food access to underserved/low-income communities by developing and teaching food and nutrition lessons all across the bay area. Fresh Approach deepened my connection to food; shopping at farmers’ markets weekly allowed me to meet and get to know the farmers and ranchers who were growing my food. I have so much gratitude for those who tend for our land and feed the people—I knew I had to be a part of sharing this love. Ultimately I completed my certification as a Holistic Nutrition Consultant in 2015 from Bauman College and became a Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor from the California College of Ayurveda in 2021.

The purpose of learning Ayurveda isn’t to simply alleviate digestive imbalances or rid you of pesky eczema flare-ups, it’s to reflect back

to you that you are also a Soul having a human experience. It’s hard to remember that and live life fully when you’re distracted by physical ailments.

So let’s get rid of distractions, create a space where healing can root, and bring body, mind, and spirit into union.

What People Are Saying

“Working with Chantal is always such a blessing. She is kind, patient, and you can feel that she genuinely cares about your wellbeing and empowerment. What I have learned from her that has been the most eye opening is about sugar, how it’s hidden in so many ingredients and how much we should aim to cap our consumption. This is especially crucial for me since I am genetically predisposed to diabetes. Her food is so tasty, it’s always a treat to eat what she shares. Her recipes are easy to prepare and expand the curiosity of my palate. Chantal is overflowing with love and knowledge which you can truly feel she is passionate about sharing, so please gift yourself with the pleasure of working with her.”

“Chantal is so authentically passionate about eating to nourish body and mind it's quite infectious, even if you are a skeptic. She convinces people to try new things in a safe, comfortable environment and takes a lot of the overwhelm out of exploring new ingredients in the grocery store. There is so much confusing information out there about nutrition but Chantal breaks it down in ways that aren't intimidating, and I like how willing she is to customize the approach and pace to the individual.”

— Laura S.

“I'm not one for eating large amounts of vegetables, but Chantal has shown me how eating healthily can not only be good for me but also taste as good, if not better, than anything else. I've definitely been eating many more vegetables, and just eating healthier and more self-consciously overall. Both my skin and fat loss have dramatically improved after working with her. Chantal has helped me personally by giving me a better understanding of healthy food, helping me live a happier and healthier life.”

“Roasting veggies really isn't difficult, and yet mine never came out like I expected. Chantal showed me simple adjustments that made a huge difference in the taste and texture of my foods. I started to try vegetables that I wouldn't normally purchase. My daughter is almost 1 and we skipped over purees right into soft veggies and she really enjoyed the variety. We love diversifying our food choices, and expanding the menu to try new things. I am also more aware of where my food is sourced from and how I can contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle. Thanks Chantal for your willingness to answer even the most basic questions!”
